Creating a Holding Page

On the main Dashboard, go to ‘Plugins’ on the left and add new. In the search bar, type ‘Simple Coming Soon’ and search. Select the First plugin called ‘Simple “Coming soon” And “Under construction”’ and select Install now. Once installed, activate plugin by selecting the ‘Activate Plugin Button on the installation confirmation page. Go to Settings on left menu and select ‘Simple Coming Soon’. Choose ‘Theme Options’. Fill in the sections as necessary and these will be displayed on the Holding Page. Upload the logo and change the background colours or image as necessary. NB…The Date and Time are set in American Format. For the Social media sections, please fill in the complete addresses with www.twitter.com/twittername. Save the changes at the top of the page. Go to the General Tab, and from the drop down, select ‘Coming soon’ and this will activate the Holding Page. Open Internet Explorer and type in the URL to view the page. The Holding page allows you to work on the back end of the site without the public viewing the website construction and by viewing it in Internet Explorer, it allows you to check the Holding page status as you will normally be logged in to Firefox.
