Creating Heading and Subheading Menus

Once all the relevant pages and posts have been created, go to the main Dashboard and on the left select ‘Appearances’ and then choose ‘Menu’. On the top right, type the menu name as Main Menu and select ‘Create Menu’. Select all the pages names that you wish to be main heading from the Pages section and select Add to Menu. All of these Pages will then appear on the right hand side of the screen. Select all Posts that you wish to be sub menus from the Categories section and choose ‘Add to Menu’.

These will also appear on the right hand side of the screen. To put sub categories under main headings, drag and drop sub categories underneath headings in an indented position.

Save changes. On the website, this will appear usually as a heading along the main title bar which can be hovered over to display the sub categories
